Every once in a while, a friend sends you a Ghana video that really makes you laugh. Usually the video is on youtube. But one has to sift through all the content on youtube to find that one good video that makes you laugh and laugh till you're rolling on the floor. skk.
So we searched the web and found 10 of the most-watched, funniest Ghana videos and put them all in one place...here. So the next time you need a laugh, all you have to do is head over here.
What are these videos like?
Well, they span the entire range of Ghanaian humor. Most of them are in twi. And a few of them have sexual references. You have to admit that there's just something funny about sex talk in twi. But for those who don't want to watch those, no worries. There are plenty of clean ones. Also, as any Ghanaian could have guessed, the videos include performances by some of Ghana's funniest like Egya Koo, and Nana Osbey Cap Cheerz and that funny bus preacher video I shared with you a few weeks ago. But there are also some new ones from funny newbies. Like two fanti girls gossiping. skk. Also if you know of any funny videos we didn't include, please share them with us in the comments. Enjoy, and as always, I can't wait to hear your thoughts/opinions.

Lool. You hit the nail right on the head. These are rather funny lol. Seen a couple of them - I have pretty 'silly' friends who enjoy gr8 humor and love to share lol - but def lookn to see others' recommendations!
ReplyDeletehehehe... Esi, you've just made my evening. 1-800-we-mourn. pure madness! i love it!
ReplyDeleteHi Esi,
ReplyDeleteHere is a particularly interesting website I recently found. Its called "Stuff Christians Like" and it talks about the daily "shames" or sins that Christians struggle with. Read this one "Booty God Booty" (link below) See if it gets your super-creative juices flowing. I was also thinking about the "househelp" phenomenon in Ghana. Many Osofomaames have househelps and the frustration of poverty may sometimes lead some families to mistreat househelps. Househelps may not be treated like the biological kids. Not Ghana's best face, but maybe something to discuss. http://stuffchristianslike.net/2008/04/113-booty-god-booty/
@Mike, Yaw Ampofo Ankrah is a genius! I do not know how i would have done it either. I'd be laughing at every word. Especially the part where Bukom banku said he'd like to teach at the university. I was like huh? Is this guy for real? Would love to take a class with him though.At the very least, i'd never feel stressed out. i'd be cracking up in all his classes.
ReplyDelete@Kekeli...wo ye me taste!
@Africa's daughter. I have added your video.I also laughed so much when i watched the vids. My favorite is still the tom and jerry...na wo...wo ye nipa ben? What cracks me up is that neither of them is a nipa:) And THIS IS WHY I AM TALKING!!! hehe.
@Wofa Eric. I have a soccer to do it.lol.
@Jemila, i hope you got plenty. I've been watching these videos all through the week. Never ceases to make me laugh. I think i'll just come and watch them whenever i'm sad.
@Serwah L, we should thank Thomas, who put together the first list of 10 videos all my himself. It's amazing how much of the work/ideas for blog posts these days don't even come from me. I think I should set up a special poll to collect ideas.
@Anonymous. Thanks for the link. I checked it out, and love it. I need to spend more time with it to see if it will give me some ideas. Someone pointed out the blog which inspired "stuff christians like. That is, stuff white people like: http://stuffwhitepeoplelike.com/
to me yesterday. Thanks for sharing. If you get any ideas, i'll be happy to hear. Will also read some of the posts to see if it gives me some ideas. You readers are AWESOME! You make it so easy and fun to keep the blog going. Thanks!
